White Rock - South Surrey, BC!

White Rock is just inside the U.S./Canadian border, when you enter Canada from Blaine, Washington.

You'll only drive a few minutes to get to White Rock, but you'll feel like you're in an enchanted land, thousands of miles from home!

Cathryn and I didn't measure distances, but my recollection is that, after you cross the border, from the United States into Canada, it's only a mile or two to the turn-off to White Rock.

The turn-off comes up on your right (A sign will say White Rock). After you take the turn off, it's only about three miles (give or take a mile) to White Rock. White Rock is right down on the water, and has a beautiful sandy beach.

Wouldn't you know...there's a huge white rock on the beach! Everything in this little town can be seen on foot. Wonderful little shops. Great restaurants and all kinds of snack places. And, there's a museum.

There's a pleasant boardwalk along the beach (Well, it's a cement boardwalk, but makes for a pleasant walk all the same). Cathryn and I enjoy walking way out over the water on the pier.
